About Nigeria Aquatics Federation

Nigeria Aquatics Federation (NAqF)

The Nigeria Aquatics Federation (NAqF) formerly known as the Nigeria Swimming Federation is a sports association that was ascertained by the National Sports Council to govern the aquatic disciplines of Swimming, Open Water Swimming, Water Polo, Diving, Synchronized Swimming, High Diving and Masters Swimming in Nigeria.

The federation invents policies and strategies that ensure the grassroots development of swimming as a sport, its associated programs and competitions within and outside the country.

The federation is officially connected to some other organizations. These affiliates are the International Swimming Federation (FINA), African Swimming Confederation (CANA), and the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC).

It also connects all other associations in the federal capital territory and other geographical areas in Nigeria that contribute to the development and promotion of swimming sport and related other aquatic disciplines.
