Swimming Sports in Nigeria - Hall of Fame

Nigeria has achieved much than expected in the sports of swimming, some Nigeria swimmers have achievements in the sports and have given Nigeria a headlit in the sports, Some of the includes;

Yellow Yeiyah is a famous Olympic swimmer from Nigeria; he was born on 9th of September 1984, in Ondo state.

His started international debut in September 2006 when he represented Nigeria at the 8th African Swimming Championships held in Dakar, Senegal in where he posted a time of 26.04 in the 50 meters butterfly and finished seventh.

He also swam for Nigeria in 2007 at World Championships in Melbourne. Currently, he won silver in the men’s 50m breaststroke at 2016 Confederation of African Swimming Association senior championships in Senegal.

Chinelo Iyadi is a professional female Nigerian swimmer. She swan for Nigeria and won gold in the 50m breaststroke and 100m women butterfly during the 2016 Confederation of African Swimming Association senior championships in Senegal.

Rachael Tonjor

Evelyn Nmor is a female Nigeria swimmer that was born on 26th of November, 2001. She has represented the country in several tournaments at national and international levels. She represented Nigeria at 2016 Confederation of African Swimming Association senior championships in Senegal and won gold in the women 100m breaststroke then silver in the 50m breaststroke.
